This is the official website of St. Benedict's Council #4208 here in beautiful northeast Iowa (Decorah, Iowa, USA).  For Council meeting times, click here.

The Knights of Columbus is a Catholic, Family, Fraternal, Service Organization.

The image is that of Venerable Father Michael J. McGivney (1852-1890), founder of the Knights of Columbus. Venerable Father McGivney is currently a candidate for beatification.  Please pray that God will give His Church a sign (or signs) that Father McGivney is indeed one of God's saints in heaven; in other words, pray for the eventual canonization of Venerable Father McGivney.

Quick facts about Council 4208


Mardi Gras celebration at St. Benedict's school was Sunday 2 March 2014.  Knights ran the bingo and raised $1,177.  Council 4208 raised $954 and $1001 in 2012 and 2013, respectively.  The money goes to Saint Benedict's school.

At the January 2014 meeting, the Council voted to provide funds for the parish to purchase “Adaptive First Eucharist and Adaptive Reconciliation” kits.  These kits will help children with special needs to make their first Confession and to receive first holy Communion.  For more information on these kits, see http://www.loyolapress.com/special-needs.htm  Click here for more information about the activities of St. Benedict's Council 4208.
